Introduction
The Ormond Portal is an interactive web space for the use of resident students, academic and administrative staff, and members of the Ormond College Community. Development and implementation of the Ormond Portal commenced in 2006. Services and features continue to be developed progressively. Your ideas and feedback are welcomed. At this time, the Portal is available to resident students, resident tutors and all staff. In the future, we plan to extend Portal services to involve academic visitors, special interest groups in the Ormond Community and then to the broader community of Ormond alumni, parents and future student families. (The Portal is not available for public access on the world wide web.)
The Ormond Portal is best described as an 'intranet' with three primary purposes:
- publishing information in a web environment
- providing an on-line resource for communication
- resourcing a collaborative on-line environment for groups and committees at Ormond College.
The Ormond Portal is available on the campus network and also from remote locations.
